Today's lesson: Japanese Culture
"Typhoon and Karuta Game"
I introduced to the children the Japanese culture by doing "Typhoon and Karuta game", through listening.
I grouped them into three with their respected group names. I asked them questions about the culture and they will say what kind of culture is it.
(By this game they can practice listening and speaking skills.)

1. What do you call of Japan's traditional paper-craft arts? It is called "paper crane". What kind of culture is it?
Answer: (Origami)
2. This is the art of writing pictographic characters with a brush. We call it calligraphy.
Answer: (Shodo)
3. This game was brought from China . It comes from the European game of chess.
Answer : (Shogi)
4. This was the capital of Japan for more than one thousand years. There are many temples
( with over 1600 Buddhist temples) and shrines (more than 400 Shinto shrines).
Anwer: Kyoto
The the group who has the most number of score will be the winner.
They had fun, they enjoyed the game with learning the different Japanese culture.
